Filaantro started with an idea to help individuals or organizations to raise funds through donations for Social, Personal and Charitable causes. More than 50 campaigns were raised to help children with diseases like cancer, prematurity and congenital heart diseases. 20+ campaigns were raised to improve education quality among underprivileged children who were deprived of basic education. 10+ campaigns were raised to cater to social causes like beach cleaning activity, supporting street animals, empowering women, raising funds for senior citizens and aiming for Zero Hunger, an initiative to end hunger in India.

 

Filaantro was also able to provide support on the grounds especially in stressful times like calamity relief, Covid, Floods, and Cyclones. 

 

Zero Hunger

As per Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report, in India, 20 crore people sleep on an empty stomach each day. India produces enough food to feed its enormous population of 139 crores, but because a major percentage is squandered, 20 crores of people go to bed, hungry.

 

The Zero Hunger project was launched by Filaantro and its NGO partner Child Help Foundation. This continuous initiative tries to give disadvantaged kids nourishing food. We currently serve hot meals to 2000 underprivileged children in various locations across India, including Delhi, Maharashtra, the North Eastern states of Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. We do this in collaboration with our implementing partner Khushiyaan, volunteers, and other partner NGOs.
