International Stress Awareness Week: Why Stress Shouldn’t be Ignored

Stress is a harmful yet unavoidable part of our lives. No matter how hard we try, we are going to face stress at some point in our lives. The World Health Organization defines stress as ‘a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation.’  As the definition suggests, stress can be harmful.

To educate people about the negative consequences of stress, the 1st week of November is observed as ‘International Stress Awareness Week’. Its goal is to create a supportive base for discussions around stress-related challenges and mental well-being.

So in this blog, we are going to be looking at some harmful side effects of stress and what can you do to reduce stress in your life.
