When Thanmai was eleven months old, his parents discovered some abnormalities and took him to the doctor, where they found out that their dear son has kyphoscoliosis. Thanmai is now five years old and his woes still affect him. His spine has taken a grotesque structure, making it difficult to walk.

According to the doctors at Karnataka’s Bhagwaan Mahaveer Jain Hospital (4km from Bengaluru Railway Station), Thanmai’s treatment would cost Rs 3,50,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand Only).

Thanmai’s father, Santosh, works as a driver. He is the sole breadwinner in his family of four and lives in a rented house, with a monthly rent of Rs 4,000/-. He has resorted to getting help from his friends and has exhausted his savings, but it hasn’t been enough.
