Support a school to build toilets
Hemachandra Simanta Sanskrit Vidyalaya was established in the year 1994 at a remote village- Sahapur, in Balasore district of northern Odisha, is a Sanskrit High School under the Board of Secondary Education, Govt. of Odisha. The school caters to all sections of society and students can get access to quality education. Ironically most of the students are from poor tribal backgrounds and currently, there are 160 tribal girls and boys studying from class VI-X. All the students are provided school uniforms, accommodation, free food, and books. Since the start of the school till date, all the expenditure towards the functioning of the school is borne by several kind-hearted individuals.
Many of these tribal children don’t have a proper house nor their parents can afford their education. The school has 8 teachers and one admin staff member besides the temporary workers who cook food for the students. Over the years, there has been an increase in student numbers due to free education & boarding facilities. The students on passing high school, get admitted into nearby colleges. The school alumni have managed to get jobs either in government organizations or in the private sector.
Since most of the children stay back at the residential facility in the school, there is a need for four toilets for 100+ children in the residential facility. The school using its own funds has managed to construct two toilets but needs funds to construct two more. The breakup of the construction costs are given below.
Requesting donors to support this tribal school in the construction of toilet facilities through your humble donations.
