Clean Water for Galibipalli

My name is Rithvik Sanagavarapu, and I’m raising funds for Project Sujala, an effort to bring reliable, safe drinking water to rural villages starting with Galibipalli, a farming community on Bangalore’s outskirts. About 1,000 residents depend on mulberry cultivation and dairy for income, yet they still lack a dependable source of clean water.

Galibipalli’s borewell water has extremely high TDS levels, which can contribute to problems such as kidney stones and gastrointestinal discomfort over time. The only alternative is a tanker that arrives unpredictably, often delivers contaminated water, and charges an expensive price —a price most families cannot afford.

Project Sujala will install a community-run mineral water plant that purifies the borewell water and makes it available 24/7 at much less than the current price. A local resident will be trained and employed to manage the plant, ensuring both accountability and long-term sustainability.

We need ₹1 lakh to cover equipment, installation, storage tanks, and operator training. Reaching this goal will give Galibipalli consistent access to safe water, reduce household expenses, and improve health.
