“I dreamt of being a father even since I married my wife, Poornima. When she broke the news that she was pregnant, I couldn’t believe it. This was going to be the happiest thing that ever happened to us. But when my wife’s water broke before her due date, I was shattered beyond belief.”-

On 16th November, 2023, Poornima gave birth to twin daughters. But the joy and happiness were absent on the faces of the couple. The babies were born prematurely and are extremely weak.

The parents didn’t even get a moment with their child, they were quickly placed in the NICU of Telangana’s Sowmya Children’s Hospital (7.8 km from Hyderabad Railway Station). The babies have to rely on a ventilator the cost of the treatment is coming at Rs 14,00,000/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakhs Only).

Purushotham is a computer operator and the sole breadwinner in his family of four. His meagre income is not enough to support the medical expenses, considering that he lives in a rented house.
