Little MD Muttaqi, just 4 years and 8 months old, was born into a loving family in Bihar. His parents, Masoroor, an electrician, and Imrana, a housewife, were devastated when, just months after his birth, they noticed blood spots near his stomach and navel. Despite visiting several local doctors, none of the treatments helped. Their son continued to weaken.

Finally, they received the life-changing diagnosis: Muttaqi has Thalassaemia a condition that requires him to undergo regular blood transfusions for the rest of his life. For years, his parents have watched him endure the pain and exhaustion, but hope arrived when they learned of Stem Cell Transplantation, which could offer a cure.

But this hope comes with a heavy burden —Rs. 25,00,000 (Rupees Twenty-Five Lakh Only) for the treatment at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad, Telangana (8.9 km from Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station). Masoroor, already struggling with debt, cannot afford the cost of his meagre earnings as an electrician.
