The baby of Mrs.Payal Chavan is a nine-day-old preterm baby boy from Jategaon, Maharashtra. His father's name is Mr.RajendraChavan. The baby's grandparents and uncle live with them. The entire family works as daily laborers in sugarcane farms. Collectively they earn only Rs. 15,000/- per month.

During the sixth month of pregnancy, Mrs.Payal started suffering from severe pains. When taken to the doctor, an emergency C-section was performed and the baby was born with symptoms of prematurity - low Birth weight, respiratory distress syndrome, Hyaline membrane disease, Apnea of Prematurity. The doctors at Yashoda Children's Hospital, Beed, suggested that the baby needs to be kept under NICU treatment for a few months. The estimated cost of which is Rs. 1,42,000/- (Rupees One Lakh and Forty Two Thousand Only).
