A Little Fighter: Help Baby Harshi Get Her Surgery

Baby Harshi, a 7-month-old girl from Raja Ka Tajpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been diagnosed with Spine Bifida with Myelomeningocele, a serious condition present since birth. Her parents noticed early on that she was not like other babies, and doctors later confirmed the heartbreaking truth. To give her a chance at a normal life, Harshi requires urgent surgery at Panacea Hospital in Dehradun, Uttarakhand (3.1km from Dehradun Railway Station).

The cost of the surgery is estimated at Rs. 4,50,000 (Rupees Four Lakh Fifty Thousand Only). This amount is far beyond the reach of her father, Thamman Singh, who works as a labourer and is the sole earner for a family of five. Despite his hard work, his earnings are minimal, and he is already in debt after borrowing money to manage medical expenses.

Kiran Devi, Harshi’s mother, is a housewife who spends her days caring for her little one. Their only hope is timely surgery that can help Harshi recover and live a better life.
