But to know that my daughter has a weak heart since her birth was painful to know. It took me days to come to terms with it. I just hope I can save her."

On 16th December, 2023, Doli Pal, wife of Mohit Kumar, gave birth to her first child, Anushka Pal. This was the moment Mohit and Doli were waiting for their entire marriage. Little did they know about the dread knocking on their doors.

It all started when Anushka was taken down by a fever. After a series of tests, it was revealed that Anushka was suffering from Congenital Heart Disease since her birth. Anushka gets recurring fever which requires constant hospitalization.

According to the doctors at Paras Health (5 km from Gurugram Railway Station), Anushka needs Open Heart Surgery and VSD Closure. The cost of the treatment is coming at Rs 3,90,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Ninety Thousand Only).

Mohit is the sole breadwinner in his family of six. He works as a helper at a shop, which is barely sufficient to feed the family. He has taken loans, which has drowned himself in debt and has even taken a mortgage to fund the expenses.
