On 4th March, Ghanshyam and his wife, Jayashree held a small birthday celebration for their cancer-ridden son, Satyam, in order to cheer him up. But behind all those smiles was a deep fear throbbing in their hearts. Thousands of questions raced through the minds of the family members, but the most important question was ‘Is this the last joyful moment in Satyam’s life?’ It all started two years ago when Satyam was taken down by a high fever, upon taking him to the doctors, they said that his platelet count was exponentially high. They asked the parents to take him to another hospital. It was there they found out that Satyam was suffering from Relapsed `B` Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.“For more than two years, my son, Satyam hasn’t experienced a moment of ease. I have done my best to raise him, but right now it feels like I am failing to do anything. Your kindness is the only hope I have left. Please save my son.”-
